when i was a young seaman on the uss merrimack AO 37 bombay was our home port in the yrs 56/57 i became a member of the prince of wales seaman club. from my remembrance at that time the seamens club was a life savior for us sailors it gave us a place to relax and drink with our friends in a foreign country
